Serge Abud graduated from the Université de Montréal law faculty in 2003 and became a member of the Quebec Bar in 2004.
Having a previous experience with the Commission des normes du travail, he joined Papineau Avocats Inc. in 2004.
He is specialized in real estate and in co-ownership law (divided and undivided).
Besides working on the cases submitted to the office, he participates in the updating of the Code de la copropriété divise.
He participated as a member of the Quebec Bar in two law seminars held in Nantes by the Institute of Economic and Legal Studies Applied to Construction and Housing (ICH) of the National Conservatory of Arts and the Pays de la Loire in France, firstly, in October 2015, as part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Law of July 10th 1965 and, in April 2018, in the context of debates on the future of the law of co-ownership, in the perspective of the law ELAN (Law No. 846 of April 4th 2018, changing housing, development and digital).
Since 2016, Mr. Abud gives the course "Aspects légaux de la gestion de copropriétés" as part of the Condominium Management Course offered at the CÉGEP de St-Laurent..
Mᵉ Abud is also an accredited mediator and often accepts to preside on co-owners’ meetings.
